Therapy is a joint venture in which the therapist facilitates the client's clarifying of feelings, and gaining comfort in managing them. Often someone comes to therapy because of an event or a relationship which causes stress, or sometimes symptoms of depression or anxiety seem to come out of nowhere. Therapy is a place to explore and resolve these issues with a therapist who provides confidentiality, objectivity, empathy and calm.
